JOYRYDE TAKES A JOY RIDE ON THE ELECTRIC MILE

From behind the walls of Santa Anita Park, just minutes outside of Los Angeles, English DJ and producer JOYRYDE took his very own joy ride on Insomniac Events’ Electric Mile. Best known for his 1968 Dodge Charger that doubles as a stage, he rode right through to Pasquale Rotella’s latest event, an hour-long drive-thru rave experience from the comfort of the car.

Premiered as a live stream via Insomniac TV, the DJ/producer phenomenon featured his very “party on wheels” for a high-energy set that kept viewers dancing track after track. JOYRYDE’s set showcased the Electric Mile spectacular that it is, taking viewers through seven unique festival-themed worlds directly inspired by Insomniac’s most popular events. The bass house mix was not only upbeat and interactive throughout the entire set, but it was also a beautiful glimpse into what’s to come for the joy-riding artist.

Following the release of his 2020 debut album, BRAVE, JOYRYDE has been on the come up after battling opioid addiction during the months leading up to the album release. With eighteen tracks on the album, he proves he is an artistic force to be reckoned with, drawing influence from his UK grime roots, bass house, as well as hip-hop. Throughout the ninety-minute Livestream, JOYRYDE took the viewer through an audiovisual journey of lights, good music, and performers...what more could a person ask for?
